Summary

The favorites heading into the major division for the 2017 PG 11u Invitational would be the champions of the One Day Showdown #2 and #3 in 5 Star National and the Tennessee Nationals, respectively. Both teams showed a lot of talent and poise in claiming those championships. The field is largely populated by Georgia and Tennessee-native teams but there are representatives from North Carolina, Charlotte Nationals, and South Carolina, Green Sox.

11u Minor

  • 22

States Represented

  • 3 (Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee)

Summary

The Minor Division for the 2017 PG 11u Invitational, again, features a heavy focus on Georgia and Tennessee teams. Some familiar organizations are in the bunch, many of which have participated in PG events in the past. The Cincinnati Fury represent the lone team not from either of the aforementioned states, and the Fury look to represent the state of Ohio.

12u Major

Teams

  • 47

States Represented

  • 8 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee)

Summary

The Major division for the 11u Invitational features the most teams out of all the events being run this weekend with 47. Eight states are represented which adds a lot of national diversity to the group even with teams like the Mississippi Royals, out of Mississippi, and the Motor City Hitdogs, out of Michigan, being the only teams from their respective states. Alabama Elite, 12u Spring Kick-Off Champions; East Cobb Astros, One Day Showdown #1 Champions; and Game Heat, One Day Showdown #4 Champions; represent the winners of past PG events this spring and look to be the favorites heading into the weekend.

12u Minor

Teams

  • 36

States Represented

  • 4 (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee)

Summary

Although the amount of teams is not as high as the Major Division, the Minor Division for the 2017 PG 12u Invitational will boast just as much competition. With teams hailing from four different states, the names of some of these teams represent PG mainstays and will likely bring a heavy level of talent to the playing field.
