14u West Memorial Day Classic

A four-run fifth inning officially put the game away for Fs21 Stars – GBG 2026 in the championship game of the 14u West Memorial Day Classic, pushing a 2-1 lead to 6-1 against Hype Baseball 14u. Fs21 Stars – GBG tacked on two more runs in the sixth and won by a 8-1 final score.

Cody Cappelletti singled to start the momentum in the fifth for Fs21 Stars – GBG, and came around to score on a double off Brock Jackson’s bat. Colten Springall singled to drive in two more, and scored himself on an RBI groundout from Austin Smith.

Cappelletti was the man on the mound for the champions, tossing 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball in the title game, allowing four hits and no free passes, striking out six in the process.

Fs21 Stars – GBG’s Ryan Harwood was named tournament MVP. Harwood, the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2026 class, hit .571 and drove in 12 runs in six games.

Harwood’s teammate, Noah Weiss, was given MV-Pitcher honors. Weiss tossed six scoreless innings while only allowing three hits against Batrs 14u Black this past weekend.

15u West Memorial Day Classic

Hawaii Elite 2g 15u proved their No. 1 seed was warranted in the 15u bracket of the West Memorial Day Classic, taking home the championship by way of a 6-1 win over No. 2 seed GBG Vegas 2025 in the title bout.

Tanner Fujino and Logan Honma combined to control the contest on the mound for Hawaii Elite. Fujino got the starting nod, tossing five innings and managing the ballgame well, giving up seven hits but just one run, walking none. Honma shut down any thought of a GBG comeback, closing the door on the final two innings.

Eight- and nine-hole hitters Cade Wehrsig and Noah Bernal both had multi-hit games for Hawaii Elite, and seven-hole hitter Jevon Raboy added two RBI.

Hawaii Elite's Chase Sutherland was named the MVP of the 15u division, as he hit .500 over the six-game weekend, driving in nine runs in the process.

GBG Vegas' Tanner Johns was named MV-Pitcher. The left-hander tossed seven innings across two scoreless outings, allowing just four hits and one walk.

16u West Memorial Day Classic

PFA Matadors 2024 left no doubt as to who the best team in attendance was at the 16u West Memorial Day Classic, with a pair of 11-0 wins in the semifinal and championship games over GBG Vegas 2024 and Azbc 2024, respectively.

It was over early in the championship game, with PFA Matadors scoring two runs in the first and four more in the second. Contributions came from all over the place in the PFA lineup: Johnny Alley went 4-for-4 with three runs scored. Sean Togher and Nate Savoie both drove in four runs. Six players collected multiple hits, and seven players scored at least one run.

On top of all that, Alexander Umland, Connor Knight, and Fernando Palencia combined for a no-hitter. Umland carried the most weight, with four innings of work as the starter.

Palencia was given MVP honors for the weekend. The 2024 prospect hit .600 with nine total hits and 10 RBI. The MV-Pitcher nod went to Umland, who on top of his championship game performance tossed two innings earlier in the tournament, striking out four in that appearance.

17u West Memorial Day Classic

Pitching showed up in a big way for Sticks Southwest CV 2023 in the championship bracket of the 17u West Memorial Day Classic, allowing just three runs over three games.

Alejandro Santos III, Diego Garcia, Carson Stoller, and Tommy Chiappetti all were looked upon to throw at least one inning in the title game against Azbc 2023, and held the Azbc lineup in check to the tune of a 5-2 victory.

The damage was done in the top of the third inning for Sticks Southwest, as they hung a four-spot on the scoreboard that held up as enough runs to win the ballgame.

Hits from Connor Mattison and Liam Whalen started the big inning, and two-RBI knocks from both Matthew Hart and Kaden Kosower blew the doors open.

Mattison, a Long Beach State commit, won MVP honors on the weekend. He hit .500 on the weekend while also tossing a complete game shutout against West Coast Mafia during the tournament.

Azbc's Derek Schaefer won the MV-Pitcher award. The Tennessee commit threw four innings of no-hit baseball against PFA Matadors 2023 and added five strikeouts and no walks.

18u West Memorial Day Classic

A back-and-forth contest between LVR and 3D Gold in the championship game of the 18u West Memorial Day Classic made for a great way to close things out on the weekend, with LVR ultimately scoring two seventh inning runs to take a 6-5 lead and holding on in the bottom half.

LVR scored three runs in the top of the second inning to kick off the scoring, but two runs from 3D Gold in the bottom of that inning and one more in the third tied the game. One LVR run in the fifth inning gave them the lead back, but two 3D Gold runs in the sixth gave them their first lead at 5-4.

Gunnar Myro started off the top of the seventh for LVR with a four-pitch walk to start their rally, though he was out on an Andrew Griffin fielder's choice three pitches later. Griffin then moved up 90 feet on a Mathew Griffin single, and a George Holt single scored him to tie the game. Anthony Marnell, IV then broke the tie and won the game for LVR with a single to right field.

Despite the loss in the title game, 3D Gold's Jackson Babione was named MVP of the tournament after he hit .412 with seven hits and nine RBI on the weekend.

LVR's William Sullivan won MV-Pitcher, as he tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings over two appearances, collecting 10 strikeouts along the way.
