15u, 17u WWBA West Scout Notes: Day 1 | Days 2-3

Samuel Round (‘23, AZ) showcased loud stuff out of the pen. Projectable build. FB sat 89-91 mph w/ life thru the zone. Pairs well w/ short, tilting SL at 81-83 mph. Both offerings can miss bats frequently #WWBAWest @PG_Uncommitted pic.twitter.com/BuSBpg5s89

Samuel Round (2023, Phoenix, Ariz.) was impressive out of the 'pen on Day 5. The uncommitted right-hander cruised through one inning of work, striking out two of the three hitters. Round showcased an impressive fastball, topping out at 91 mph. The offering overwhelmed hitters often. Life through the zone allowed it to generate whiffs often. The heater was paired with a sharp slider at 81-83 mph. Short, tilting action on the offering gives it swing-and-miss traits.The pitch mix and projectable build make Round one of the more intriguing uncommitted arms in the region.
