Summer Showdown Scout Notes

Carter Hayes (’26, Atlanta, Ga.)- the 5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitter led the 2023 15U PG Summer Showdown with 12 runs batted in for Atl Lightning 15u Todd. The primary shortstop finished with a .471 batting average and scored six runs as the Lightning finished runner-up in the tournament. Hayes also ran the fastball up to 79 mph on the bump over two relief appearances and seven combined innings on the bump, while getting the win during a 12-10 extra-innings victory over 5 Star National Grubbs/Wilson.

Brett Hickson (’26, Brunswick, Ga.)- the 5-foot-10, 155-pound left-handed hitter for the Georgia Burn, led the 15U Summer Showdown with 11 hits in 16 at-bats for a .688 batting average. The primary middle infielder accounted for 13 runs as he drove
