Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Scout Note Recap

Vince Silecchia (2027, Staten Island, NY) didn’t allow the rain to cool his bat off as he recorded six hits and drove in five runs over the course of the weekend. Included in that were two doubles and two long balls as the 5-foot-9 right-handed hitter put his power on display. Silecchia showcased the ability to backspin baseballs from gap to gap, launching multiple either off the fence or over it. He can do a little bit of everything on the offensive end and certainly projects well as a bat moving forward. Silecchia has started the summer with a .431 average along with 19 RBIs through 27 games.

Jordan Steiger (2027, New York, NY) had an impressive weekend at the plate, posting five hits including two doubles and a home run, tagged with an event-high seven RBI
