ABOUT

The Miami Valley Warhawks Baseball Club, a non-profit 501(c) 3 charity, was founded in 1990 by Ron Slusher. Ron had a dream to create a baseball program that would grow to National heights. A program that would allow young men, regardless of their financial background, a free and equal opportunity to improve their baseball skills and increase their chances of advancing to higher levels of baseball. This dream became the Ohio Warhawks.

By raising the level of play, increasing the intensity of the game, and maintaining a light-hearted team atmosphere, the Ohio Warhawks are an organization that creates an environment to help young men attain their goals of playing collegiate and professional baseball. In 28 years of existence, the Ohio Warhawks have sent over 99% of its’graduates on to the collegiate level and almost 300 players have been selected in Major League Baseball's amateur draft. In these 25 years the Ohio Warhawks have never, and never will charge any player fees.

Initially the Warhawks played fewer games per season, in the Ohio area only. However in the past 24 seasons the Warhawks not only play all over the state of Ohio, but have played in tournaments in Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Tennessee, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, South Carolina, Canada,  Utah, Mexico, Nevada and Nebraska .  Yhey even had the opportunity to play on ESPN. This expanded playing schedule has give the Ohio Warhawks the National recognition beyond the original vision of Coach Slusher.

Today Coach Slusher's dream can be seen in each and every Ohio Warhawk's players past and present. Ron and his staffs' dedication to the Ohio Warhawks has given many young men the opportunity to improve their level of play, learn valuable life lessons. experience team camaraderie and travel the country.

The Miami Valley Warhawks Baseball Club is more than just the Ohio Warhawks. The MVWBC, in 26 years, has won 13 National Championships, 9 National Runner-ups, has sponsored hundreds of teams from little league to summer collegiate teams, helped local high schools renovate their baseball fields, and since 2003 has been the main sponsor of a youth baseball association

In 2014 the MVWBC helped sponsor 25 teams, ranging from ages 9 thru 18. In addition to these teams the MVWBC is the main sponsor of a local youth baseball association. This association has grown from around 200 kids in 2003 to over 600 in 2011Many of these kids are from the inner-city and would not be able to participate without the sponsorship of the MVWBC.

The MVWBC is an organization that stresses academic excellence, high moral standards, discipline, and respect, concern for others, athletic excellence and a winning attitude. The MVWBC is not an organization of overzealous parents and coaches. This is an organization in which a person can be proud to be associated with. It is an organization dedicated to investing in today's youth and tomorrow's future.
