2022 National Underclass West Showcase
Logan Rockhold is a 2025 LHP/C, 1B, OF with a 5-9 120 lb. frame from Peyton, CO who attends Falcon. Features a slender frame with plenty of room to add more. Left-handed pitcher. Utilizes a deceptive delivery with a slight upper body twist into leg lift. Lands with a short stride on a firm front side. Uses a compact arm action out of a 3/4 arm slot. Creates a downhill plane out of the hand. The fastball sat 70-72 mph with tons of armside run. Paired it with a big breaking curveball and straight changeup. Flashed ability to create depth on occasion. Both offerings sat in the low-60’s. Threw strikes fairly often. Also worked out at first base and catcher. Arm generated accurate throws consistently. Threw 72 mph out of an overhead slot during ground balls. Flashed the ability to work through hops. Still refining consistency of footwork and glove timing into the fielding position. Uses a side saddle setup behind the plate. Still developing explosiveness out of crouch. Replaces feet during transfer. Was on target with the majority of throws. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes a square stance with a wide base and a high hand setup. Toe tap timing mechanism allows for weight to get on the backside. Uses a direct bat path with a line drive approach. Has the ability to hit the ball to the opposite field. More power should come as the frame fills out. Ran an 8.00 60-yard dash. Good student.
