Reid Walter is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Cold Spring Harbor, NY who attends Cold Spring Harbor. Big and strong athletic build. Start and stop delivery, gets his body turned well over the rubber, stays on line to the plate, tight high 3/4's arm slot that hides the ball effectively, some energy at release, showed better command from the stretch than from the wind up. Fastball topped out at 82 mph early, was most effective in the strike zone at 78-79 mph. Threw a hard breaking ball and showed the ability to change the shape between a shorter slider and bigger curveball, slider shape was the better pitch this outing. Flashed a change up. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
