2022 PG Softball Oklahoma City Scouting Combine
Shaeleigh VanWinkle is a 2027 RHP/ SS from Capitan, NM. This young athlete did a great job during the day and showcased great upside both on the mound and in the batters box. In the circle she is a RHP who throws a fastball, change-up, drop ball, curveball, and backdoor curve. She maintained a good solid motion and needs to work on her snap to be able to continue to develop and gain speed as she gets older. Her Dropball showed good late break and she demonstrated a great posture throughout the pitch. She is still learning the backdoor curve, but it is developing well and will be a huge asset as she gets older. Overall showcased very well for a young talented athlete with room for growth as she gets older and stronger. In the batters box, she is a stand in RHH who has good swing mechanics. Showed good feel for the barrel and as she gets older and stronger she will continue to add power and strength to her swing, This young athlete showed major upside throughout the whole day. Very excited to watch her progress on the mound and in the batters box she has a bright future ahead of her.
