William (Wil) Myers is a 2009 3B/C/1B/P/SS/OF with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from Thomasville, NC who attends Wesleyan Christian Academy. Will is a big strong and very athletic and versatile on the baseball field. There isn't much he can't do. His hands work well in the infield and he has a power arm across the diamond. He also shows that arm strength behind the plate and popped a 1.80 in the workout. The ball comes off his bat fast and he shows big time power potential. He shows excellent present hitting tools and has a high ceiling. Wil can also run as he clocked in with a 6.73 time in the sixty. To top it off he got on the mound and reached 91 mph from a 3/4 arm angle. Myers has made a verbal commitment to South Carolina and his tools and versatility need to be followed very closely by all the MLB scouting departments. This one is for real and it wouldn't be a surprise to see first round attached to his name next June.
