Whitley Mayberry is a 2009 RHP/SS with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends St. Stephens/St. Agnes School. Whitley has a lean athletic body and he has a smooth, easy, effortless delivery on the mound and shows plus pitchability. His fastball was in the upper 80's with good life at the Metrodome. He also uses a late breaking slider and an excellent change up. His arm works well and he projects to add more velocity. He mixes all of his pitches and knows how to get outs with three good pitches. He also showed some hitting ability at the plate. Whitley is an outstanding student.
