Herren showed us quality athletic actions and just needs to work off some of the rawness of his baseball skills to become a very high prospect. He’s a rock solid 6-1, 205 lb. switch hitter who is a solid average or better runner, giving him a good prospect base to build from. Herren demonstrated serious bat speed from both sides of the plate, with some loft in his swing, but will have learn how to keep his hips in and coordinated with his upper body in order to fully take advantage of his power potential. He shows outstanding hitting ability despite any mechanical flaws he may have. Herren played outfield and pitched in Lincoln and also listed himself as a catcher, but we’re kind of curious about how he’d play at third base. He showed close to average arm strength from the outfield and had a quick, short arm stroke that would be very playable in the infield. His speed and arm make him a solid defensive outfielder. His tools grade out average or better across the board. There's not much he can't do on a baseball field. We want to see him some more as soon as possible. Could be a real nice draft pick, big time college player for sure. K.C. is an excellent student.
