2004 South Undergrad Showcase
Kevin Angelle is a 2006 left handed pitcher/outfielder from Orange, Texas. At 6'2", 170 lbs., he has a very projectable body and good arm action. He threw 82-84 mph for us in Waco, and struck out 5 hitters in his 2 innings of work. Angelle’s strike out pitch is a 65-67 mph downer curveball with a big, sharp break to it. Angelle will also shorten the break on it some in the 70-72 mph range, and will drop in a 73 mph change up. Angelle’s delivery is solid and he has a short arm circle in back, and is very smooth and extended out front. Angelle is also an advanced hitter who had three hits in the showcase games, and runs well for a young pitcher. All the ingredients are there for even more improvement: loose arm, projectable body, good athlete, solid delivery, ability to spin the ball and change speeds. He is a very good LHP prospect. Kevin is also an excellent student.
