Erik Maki is a 2011 OF/RHP/SS with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame from McHenry, IL who attends Wauconda HS. Very nice athletic frame, good strength potential. Nice looking young left handed hitter. Open stance, stays short to the ball, aggressive swing but stays back on off speed well, good balance at contact, drove the ball hard the opposite way, best on balls down in zone. can use lower half better, runs bases well for size, bat speed should continue to improve. Good outfield footwork, some carry on throws, accurate throws, stays compact. Also pitched, upper 70's fastball with some life, over the top release, downer curveball. Good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
