Travis Demeritte is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Statham, GA who attends Winder Barrow HS. Long and lean athletic build, room to get stronger. 6.87 runner, very athletic defensive actions, good balance, quick feet and plus range, very good arm strength with on line carry. Right handed hitter, tall open approach, unconventional swing mechanics but has the tools to do it, serious whip and bat speed, loose strong hands, ball explodes off the barrel, line drive contact, going to deep getting better offensively. Also pitches, long loose arm action, 3/4's release, some effort at release. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 91 mph, hard tailing action at times, deep mid 70's curveball with hard spin, also throws slider and change up. Better position prospect but potential high ceiling pitcher. Good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
