2009 National Underclass Showcase - Session 1
Houston Edwards is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Coronado HS. Medium frame, good lower half strength. Pitches from stretch, cross body delivery, ball comes out of hand clean/quick, very heavy sinking fastball to 84 mph, hard spinning curveball, high 3/4's release point, mechanics still inconsistent but very live arm for age. Shows hitting potential, good rhythm/load, gets to front side quickly, good level swing with bat speed, quick hands, can both pull/go opposite field with authority. Good student.
