Patrick "Taylor" Beene is a 2013 SS/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita HS. Medium athletic build, prototypical middle infielder's look. Polished defensive actions, fields cleanly out front, plays balanced and under control, tends to snatch at the ball with his hands but has soft hands, will have to continue to work on foot speed/quickness for middle of the field range. Right handed hitter, upper half rotational swing mechanics, hands are short and compact to the ball, looks to pull, line drive swing plane, tends to reach on balls away, shows occasional lift when out front.
