Kameron Esthay is a 2013 1B/LHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Lake Charles, LA who attends Sam Houston HS. Big strong thick build, fairly mature physically. Left handed hitter, polished quiet hitting approach, hits calm and balanced, has strength and bat speed, level through the zone with good lift and extension out front, has leverage and hits the ball hard, definite power potential, should hit immediately at the next level. 7.18 runner, good defensive actions at first base, has agility and soft hands. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot, good on line delivery, fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets some spin and depth on a low 70's curveball with 1/7 shape. Good student, signed with Baylor.
