Chase Chambers is a 2014 1B/LHP with a 6-2 225 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Farragut HS. Thick physical build, good present strength, young face. Left handed hitter, high hands, long power swing, inconsistent timing getting barrel started, lots of length with wrapped start and high back elbow, generates bat speed, mid field contact, confident swing, can keep improving with adjustments. 7.23 runner, moves well for his size, good footwork around the bag at first, has agility and balance. Also pitched, compact arm action, tight over the top release, balanced finish. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, short curveball with some spin and occasional depth, threw strikes. Very good student.
