Freddie Sultan is a 2014 LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends University School Of Nova South. Medium athletic build. Sound delivery mechanics, stays balanced and on line, compact arm action that hides the ball well, 3/4's release point, ball comes out easily with low effort, finishes well out front. Steady 80-81 mph fastball, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Good shape to curveball, gets good spin and some depth, can spot curveball at will, nice change up with sink and ideal arm speed. Throws 3 pitches for strikes and knows how to mix, should be very successful against mid-level hitters. Additional strength and a mid-80's fastball makes him a successful college level pitcher. Very good student.
