Clay Pittman is a 2014 C/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Defiance, OH who attends Tinora HS. Medium, durable build, shows some strength. Sound catching actions behind the plate, blocks pitches very well. Quick release on his throws, flashes quality arm strength, looks like there is more there. Right-handed batter, quiet setup, uses a toe tap trigger, stays very short to the baseball. Makes consistent line drive contact, good swing path, very under control, hands look strong. Hits to the middle of the field, very consistent. Good student.
