Amiel Abreu is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-7 215 lb. frame from Sunrise, FL who attends Western HS. Extra tall and long build, some developing strength with more to come. Repeats delivery well for his size and age, stays directional to the plate, long arm action with true over the top arm slot, very good downhill angle when working to the bottom of the zone. Fastball up to 87 mph, lots of velocity variance depending on location, fastball really gets on hitters quickly when down in the zone, good fastball life down but missed up too frequently, likes coming inside to left handed hitters. Mid-70's slurve type breaking ball, will back up at times but show good 11/5 shape at others, threw curveball for strikes. Very projectable with two solid present pitches and some pitchability, easy to see him keep improving.
