Jeff Korte is a 2014 C/3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Valkaria, FL who attends Melbourne Senior. Strong athletic build, hits from a square stance, aggressive swing with good bat speed. Short compact line drive swing plane. Quick hands and makes consistent solid contact. Showed mostly pull contact in BP but showed ability to hit the ball the other way in games with same hard contact. Defensively, great catch and throw skills, has quick transfer and release popping a 1.85 during work outs. Makes accurate throws, showed athletic ability by taking good routes in the OF during games. Named to Top Prospect Team. Good student.
