Nolan Arp is a 2015 2B/IF, C with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier. Lean, athletic frame with wiry strength. Primary second baseman with clean, fundamentally sound footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through transition with fluidity. Primarily released from a three-quarters arm slot but flashed the ability to throw from multiple angles while on the run, topped at 83 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and high back elbow set. Utilized a simple front side trigger and worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Clean hand path to baseball with utilized a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Stays balanced throughout swing well with the ability to handle the barrel to all parts of the zone. Excellent student.
