Topher Brown is a 2015 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples HS. Big strong athletic build, looks larger than listed. Right handed hitter, narrow upright stance, some drive into contact, short quick swing with good bat speed and strength at contact, tends to cut off swing out front and not hit through the ball, has big power potential to develop with adjustments but present tools to hit. 7.41 runner, long loose arm action in the outfield, on line accurate throws, projectable arm strength, sound footwork fundamentals. Also pitched, shorter arm action with some hook in back, very short stride in front, 3/4's arm slot, can lengthen out for more velocity. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, works down in the zone and got ground balls, short slurve type curveball. Good student.
