Mason Tipton is a 2014 C/UT with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria East. Strong athletic build, room to fill. Strong arm behind the plate, quick transfer, accurate throws, quick footwork, solid defensive skills. Aggressive swing, good bat speed, loft in swing, attacks the baseball. Big power potential, direct swing path, good balance, strong at contact, ball comes off well, quick hands, good approach. Very interesting young catching prospect to follow. Good athlete.
