Nicholas Skeffington is a 2016 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Martin HS. Tall and angular athletic build, has some present strength with plenty of room for more. Medium length arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, arm works well coming through, has an athletic delivery and actions. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly straight. Threw two types of breaking ball, curveball gets good spin and some biting depth, commands the curveball well. Shorter slider with some lane changing depth. Filled up the strike zone with all his pitches once he settled down and was effective. Athletic actions at first base defensively, 7.28 runner. Left handed hitter, uppercut swing plane, leans back and looks to lift the ball, aggressive hitter. Good student.
