Carrington Evans is a 2016 OF/RHP, 3B, SS with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cartersville, GA who attends Cartersville. Long, lean frame with quality combination of strength and athleticism throughout body to go along with good physical projection. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.00 seconds. Wider-spread stance, hand set to shoulder height and close to body, shorter stride with some jump at the ball, grooved line drive swing plane with pull-field approach and quality hand speed. Fields cleanly in the OF and works through the ball well, gathers quickly and gets rid of the ball quickly with jerky, quick release. Shows solid arm strength from OF with velocity topping at 81 MPH. Pitched as well, lots of moving parts in delivery creating deception, throws from three quarters arm slot with crossfire delivery. FB worked 74-78 topping at 79 with solid life and plane. Flashed CB with sweeping 9-4 shape and action; flashed ability to spin it well. Did good job mixing pitches and keeping hitters off balance. Good student.
