Colter Castleman is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Vandegrift. Castleman has a large frame with a a strong build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. His arm works well and he gets some sink on his fastball. Castleman has a balanced delivery with some extension out front at finish. His front foot lands open and his shoulders go a little early. There is more velocity in there with a few adjustments. He also throws an 11/5 curveball for strikes. Defensively, Castleman moves around the bag well at 1B and can make the picks. At the plate, he starts with a square stance with a narrow base. He has a longer stride and a pull side approach. Excellent student.
