Slade Heggen is a 2014 C/OF with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Missoula, MT who attends Loyola Sacred Heart HS. Strong athletic build. 6.76 runner, low flexible athletic actions behind the plate, has bounce and hop, footwork still young and developing but big upside, lots of arm strength, 1.85 best pop time, very solid defensively considering his background and has a high ceiling. Right handed hitter, early load, quick direct hand path to the ball, simple balanced swing mechanics, has the quickness and timing to handle velocity, handles the barrel and has present gap power, best to right centerfield, aggressive and still learning to recognize pitches. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
