Hunter Sykes is a 2015 MIF/OF/RHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Columbus, MS who attends Heritage Academy. Smaller young build, has some wiry strength. Right handed hitter, busy hand load, moves into contact well, loose and fluid swing with some beginnings of bat speed, finds the barrel consistently, solid approach, will continue to improve with additional strength. 7.43 runner, good hands in the infield, quick transfers and release, gets a good first step to the ball, arm strength developing. Also pitched, long loose arm action, big arm circle in back, loose arm coming through, mid-70's fastball, gets some 11/5 depth on his curveball, pounded the strike zone. High motor player with a high Baseball IQ who competes. Good student.
