Alex Shaver is a 2015 OF/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends George Ranch HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Outstanding runner, 6.46 in the 60 and 4.06 home to first. Centerfield tools defensively, very good range, good footwork at the ball, arm strength still developing. Left handed hitter, keeps hands tight to body, big leg raise load, flashes bat speed at times but not consistent, has the strength and hand quickness to drive the ball with adjustments, more hitting tools than a slash and run type speed player. Speed is a potential impact tool. Good student.
