David Clawson is a 2016 C/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Monarch Beach, CA who attends Dana Hills HS. Medium athletic build, loose athletic actions, plenty of room to get stronger. Polished defensive catcher, has athletic quickness, 7.08 runner, has a quick exchange and good arm strength, simple footwork with a short stride, repeats his mechanics well in all areas, 1.93 best pop time. Left handed hitter, wrapped barrel start, moves to front side with a quick step, upper half swing with an inside swing path, left centerfield contact, hands can be late firing hands at times and will jam self, projects offensively with adjustments and additional strength.
