Tyler Bowen is a 2016 SS/RHP/C with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Edmond Memorial HS. Has a medium frame, athletic build, and room to continue to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.25 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, has flexible actions and good arm strength on throws across. From behind the plate, has a wide setup, quick actions, and makes strong throws down to second base popping as quickly as 1.83 seconds. From the left side of the plate, has a simple swing with good looseness and extension through the point of contact, good barrel skills. From the right side, has quick hands and is strong through contact, ball jumps well and produces loud line drive contact. On the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with good downhill plane and arm side run on his fastball, curveball has 11/5 with late bite and good depth. Excellent student.
