John Creel is a 2015 RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Huntersville, NC who attends Lake Norman Charter HS. Tall young build, some present strength with plenty of room to get stronger. Easy low effort well paced delivery, very long and deep arm action, 3/4's arm slot, still working on consistency in his direction and balance. Fastball topped out at 92 mph early, settled in at 88-90 mph, mostly straight with some downhill angle. Short lane changer slider, will need more power to slider at upper levels, curveball shows some 11/5 depth at times, gets some fading action on change up, change up shows promise of being a quality pitch. Has all the pitches, breaking balls will tighten up with experience and adjustments. Very projectable. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
