David Rohm is a 2008 3B/1B/P with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Clovis, CA who attends Clovis. He has a strong and well proportioned athletic build with good strength projection. Rohm is a solid corner infield prospect who also shows pitching potential. He ran 7.31 in the 60 and threw 77 mph in infield drills; he showed better arm strength from the mound. Rohm had a quick release on his throws and showed soft hands and good infield actions. Offensively, Rohm hits from a slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger and a balanced, line drive type of swing. He has solid bat speed and accelerates through the ball well. Rohm squared up well and lined the ball hard up the gaps. His bat plays at the corner infield positions. On the mound Rohm has a short quick arm action from a coiled delivery. He has some effort on release but has nice extension out front and the ball comes out of his hand well. His fastball topped out at 85 mph with some sinking action. Rohm's curveball was a good pitch in the lower 70's, with sharp spin and good downer bit. His change up was a promising looking pitch, although he might have had a bit too much velocity on it. Rohm has three solid pitches and the ability to use them. Overall, he's a solid two-way prospect who develop more either way. Rohm is also a good student.
