Dillon Nesbit is a 2017 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 182 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low set up behind the plate, receives the ball well and sticks the low pitch, quick transfer and release, 1.86 best pop, fuller arm action and shows present arm strength, 81 mph top throw, projects with additional lower half, gets on top of throws and shows nice carry and accuracy to second base. Also showed well on the mound, short and compact arm action through the back, short and simple delivery with a leg lift up past belt. Works from a three-quarters release point, throws easy and able to run fastball up to 86 mph with minimal effort. Creates angle to glove side, can challenge up in the zone ad miss bats, short running life to heater, executed a 3-1 changeup right on right very well, shows dive to the pitch down in zone at 76 mph. Curveball progressed during outing, showed 11-5 shape at 71 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and slightly open stance in the box. Looks to attack the ball and does it well, works the middle of the field and shows a simple contact approach with a swing that allows for such. Shows strength off the barrel and carry to the opposite field when barreled, squared up in both batting practice and live action. Nice two-way potential. Named to South Uncommitted Top Prospect List. Very good student.
