Mason Templet is a 2016 3B/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Youngsville, LA who attends St Thomas More HS. Very athletic well proportioned build with good present strength. Coming off a knee injury and didn't participate in drills while just hitting. Left handed hitter, leg lift trigger with an open to straight stance, has very quick hands and creates lots of raw bat speed, hits the ball out front and makes hard pull contact, line drive swing plane, good feel for the barrel when he gets his foot down on time. Showed impressive hitting tools and looks impressive athletically, need to see him more later in the summer when he's fully healthy. Verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
