Koby Hott is a 2016 OF/RHP, 3B, 1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Wichita Falls, TX who attends Rider. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and well proportioned strength throughout frame. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, stays low through actions and release, short arm action with present strength and carry, accurate throws and comes out of hand well. Full arm action across the infield, gets on top, shows strength and carry on throws with short and quick steps to the ball. Also pitched, long and loose arm action with fluidity through the back and a high three-quarter arm slot. Hip turn at top of delivery, works quickly and lands online. Fastball topped at 82 mph, generates downhill plane with ability to locate to the knees. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a slightly open base. Simple and repeatable swing, balanced mechanics with a shorter swing path to the ball. Line drive swing plane with solid jump coming off the barrel. Shows fluidity in swing, gets the barrel through the zone with hard contact to all fields, recognizes spin out of hand. Named to South Top Prospect List. Very good student.
