Carson Palmquist is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Riverdale HS. Very young and projectable build, loose athletic actions. Big leg tuck delivery, has flexibility, drop and drive to the plate, lands open with his front lower half, compact arm action, could learn to pitch taller as he gets stronger. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, lots more in there. Change up was a quality pitch with good arm speed and running action, worked mostly back and forth with his fastball/change up combination. Curveball is a bit flat and soft at present. Brother was very similar at the same age and is now pitching in AA with the Rangers. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
