Jared Crockett is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Westminster, CO who attends Legacy HS. Crockett has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively he throws with a long easy arm action with arm strength up to 84 MPH. Crockett has projectable defensive actions and made accurate online throws. He is smooth to the baseball and can cover ground in the outfield with his 6.60 speed. At the plate, Crockett starts with an open stance and gets closed. He has some bat wrap to start his swing and showed quick hands to the baseball. Crockett has a line drive contact approach and made good line drive contact in his BP round. He showed bat speed in games and collected a couple hits. Athletic player with upside.
