Dante Moran is a 2017 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Pinellas Park, FL who attends Dixie M. Hollins HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout build. Rana 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps moving to the ball, fields the ball out front with hands that play, effort at release but gets on top of throws and shows good carry across, can throw accurately from multiple arm slots. Also pitched, short arm action coming through the back and works to a three-quarters arm slot. Drop and drive delivery but gets on top of fastball well to generate downhill plane, topped out at 76 mph, mostly true to life and showed ability to work in and out. Upright finish, showed an 11-5 curveball with short depth and sweeping finish. Righthanded hitter, begins with square stance in the body and lowers hands slightly at start as timing trigger. Upper body swing, shows a nice feel for the barrel and finds it consistently with balance at point of contact. Line drive swing plane, some effort to swing, uses an up the middle approach, hardest contact comes to middle and pull side parts of the field. Very good student.
