Ethan Richards is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Plant HS. Lean young build, lots of room to get bigger and stronger. High 3/4's arm slot, will pronate over the ball at release at times, gets good downhill angle when behind the ball, medium length arm action. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, gets good sinking life down in the zone and induces ground balls when located, tends to flatten out over the middle of the plate. Curveball will show some 11/5 depth at times but not consistent in the release point yet. Showed a nice feel for his change up and it was his most effective pitch. Changes speeds and has an idea how to pitch. Very good student.
