2016 PG Underclass All American Games
Jacob Burton is a 2018 RHP/OF/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Diana, TX who attends New Diana HS. Slender young build, lots of time and room to get stronger. Two-piece delivery with a big pause at the top, hard acceleration to the plate, arm is fast but rushed at times, hands stay low in delivery, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight, has been up to 91 mph this summer at PG events. Nice change up with fading action. Curveball showed good depth when his arm was on time and has potential. Very good athlete with two-way potential, although he didn't play a position at this event. Has run down to 6.67 in the sixty and thrown 94 mph from the outfield. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas.
