Cory Heitler is a 2015 RHP/SS with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Fair Lawn, NJ who attends Fair Lawn. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Sound runner, posted a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a high three-quarter arm slot with a clean arm action. Stays tall on back side, repeats mechanics well, some effort at release. Fastball topped at 85 mph, working in the 80-84 mph range, shows arm side run and sink. Curveball shows tight spin with sharp 11-5 break at 70 mph.Three pitch mix with changeup at 74 mph with late fading action. Right-handed hitter, starts from an upright stance and a high hand set. Short, quick swing, stays balanced through swing, line drive swing path with some pop. Good student.
