Preston Colp is a 2018 OF/1B, RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from West Palm Beach, FL who attends Palm Beach Gardens HS. Tall, strong and athletic build that has some room to fill as he matures in to the body. In the outfield he worked through the ball with a pro shuffle, long arm action, and threw accurately to the bag. At the plate he has a square stance with high hands. Gather to rear leg, has a quick lower half, and strength at contact. On the mound he has deliberate tempo in the wind up, gets down hill action, and finishes with an online delivery. Fastball range 79 to 81 miles per hour and has arm side run. Curveball at 63 miles per hour with 11/5 arc with short depth and tight spin. Kept the ball down in the zone, changed speeds, and repeated his mechanics. Great student.
