Mark Leonard is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends West Jessamine. Tall, solidly built, proportioned frame. Ran a 7.49 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and has a shorter, compact arm action in the back. Touches 82 mph with his fastball and attacks the strike zone. Also throws his curveball for strikes with 12-6 rotation and solid depth. Fastball stays true through the zone. Also throws a harder slider at 69 mph with tight rotation. Good feel for his changeup with late fading action. Full arsenal of pitches for strikes. Also swung the bat, squares the ball consistently from a wide setup and gets good extension. Stays compact to the ball. Flashes solid arm strength and gets the ball out quickly at first base. Good student.
