Kasey Clark is a 2019 3B/1B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Pelham, AL who attends Pelham HS. Large athletic frame, especially for his age, high waist, good present strength. Left handed hitter, exaggerated open stance, inside swing path, mechanics over bat speed swing approach, has some barrel feel and makes consistent opposite field stance. Has good actions at first base, stays down and has soft hands, makes accurate throws. Also pitched, good lower half use moving to the plate, front side tends to come off direction early, high 3/4's arm slot, gets good extension. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight but with good angle. Good change up with feel for the strike zone and good fading action. Open front side leaves curveball spin soft and flat. Big young athlete who should keep improving with adjustments. Very good student.
