Anthony Locey is a 2016 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Columbus, GA who attends Houston County HS. Big sturdy build with broad shoulders and wide hips. Side step hands over the head delivery, gains energy to the plate before release, high front side, loose arm action with very good arm speed, high 3/4's arm slot. Steady low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, mostly straight with good downhill plane, occasional arm side running life down in the zone, locates his fastball well to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball moves between curveball and slider shapes in the mid-70's, gets very good spin at times and has feel. Aggressive pitcher who challenges hitters in the strike zone with quality stuff. Impressive performance. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia Southern. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
