Alec Morrison is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Middleton, WI who attends Middleton HS. Medium slope shouldered build, lots of room to get stronger. Tall delivery with a short stride out front, works from the stretch, extended 3/4's arm slot, simple delivery mechanics with good direction and downhill angle. Steady low 80's fastball, maintained his velocity well, works the bottom of the zone very consistently and gets hard late diving action on his fastball at times. Good curveball with depth and tight spin at times, can also throw a short slider for a different look. Nice change up with hard late action as well. Has all the pitches to mix it up and like his ability to work the bottom of the zone. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a negative stride and a deep load, has a loose swing with good extension and handles the barrel well. Should continue to improve in all areas with additional strength. Good student.
